Qualification: BSc (Physiotherapy) Wits
Faeda de la Rey graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2011. She has almost 10 years of extensive clinical experience in treating a large variety of conditions including COVID 19, orthopeadic, lung/chest, stroke and spinal injuries, muscular skeletal injuries including neck and back injuries and sports injuries on both an in-hospital and rooms bases. As a young and ambitious physio, she started her first Physiotherapy practice in 2013 which was located in Mayfair on the infamous Church street. To strengthen her physiotherapy skills she has attended a number of post- graduate courses including deep dry needling techniques, Orthopaedic manipulative therapy (OMT), exercises rehabilitation and soft tissue and joint techniques. Her long term goal is obtain her Masters in Physiotherapy
Work Experience:
Netcare Milpark hospital treating a wide variety of conditions including trauma ICU, neurological ICU (medical and surgical), general ward and COVID-19 patients. Life Cosmos Hospital where experience was gained in treating urology, orthopeadic, surgical ICU and medical ICU patients. Most of my time was spent treating COVID-19 ICU and ward patients. Locum employment at Netcare Garden city treating a wide variety of conditions including ICU (medical & surgical), neurological, cardiopulmonary and general ward patients. Akeso clinic where she focused on the treatment of neuromuscular skeletal pain and headaches associated with mental illness and stress. Lanvanya Naidoo physiotherapy where I gained experience in treating and rehabilitating sports injuries. Community service at South rand hospital which is a step-down facility for wide variety of patient including stroke and and spinal cord injury patients

Faeda is registered with the Health professional council of South Africa (HPCSA), and also a member of the South African society of physiotherapy.
